Need Help Choosing A New TV?

Our Guide To Buying A TV

At Eric Alcock Ltd, one of the reasons why our customers trust our advice is the fact that we have years of experience in the electrical retail trade. We like nothing more than to guide customers through choosing the right product to suit their requirements and budget.

We have put together the following guide for buying a new Television in the hope that it will answer any questions you may have and help you in making your purchase. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to call one of our experienced members of staff at your local store. See Store pages for phone numbers.

When it comes to choosing a new Television it is no longer simply a matter of deciding what screen size to go for, there have been so many advancements in technology over the last few years with slim flat-panel TVs replacing bulky old style models ( CRT screen TVs) that there is now much more to consider before making a purchase.  Digital signals are now replacing analogue and screens are either Plasma, LCD, or LED, then there is the resolution and whether to go for Full HD or HD Ready.

These terms are great in determining what quality picture you can expect from your new TV but if you do not really know what they mean, they can end up just confusing you and leaving you frustrated.

Hopefully we can help you make sense of these in this guide.
